RTV Mould Making Silicone Rubber or Liquid silicone rubber can be used to produce extremely high accuracy moulds of original parts whether you are replicating an existing injection moulded part or are working from a CNC or hand produced master.
When used in conjunction with our range of casting resins, our mould making silicone rubber can provide a very fast and effective way to produce casting moulds suitable for use with epoxy, polyurethane, polyester, plaster, composite stone and many other casting materials.
The Silicone Rubbers available from Easy Composites are both RTV or Room Temperature Vulcanising - meaning they cure upon being exposed to air. They don't require an oven for curing. They both also require mixing with a catalyst to start the curing process.
When making a decision to buy silicone rubber you need to choose between a Condensation Cure also known as Tin Cure and the Addition Cure otherwise known as Platinum Cure.
